In view of the hunger imminent in the country as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, a non governmental organization, givers supportive foundation has embarked on a special programme where food and cash are given to vulnerable Nigerians.
The programme which took place today Wednesday 7th October 2020 was carried out at the itafa primary school premises in offa, kwara state, where 22 less privileged people from places like inisa, erinle, omuaran, ibadan among others were given raw foods and a cash of #10000 each.
While speaking, the founder of givers supportive foundation, ambassador Babatunde ologbenla smith disclosed how seriously disturbed he is about the vulnerable people not being able to live comfortably or afford medical bills. He explained that one of the focal agenda of the foundation is to support the poor masses.
Ambassador babatunde further noted that givers supportive foundation is fully registered as a non governmental organization approved and endorsed by corporate affairs commission in Nigeria and accepts donations from private individuals and philanthropists in the society. Speaking with our reporters, one of the beneficiaries of the special programme, pastor Mrs tayo Joseph expressed her joy towards the cash and food items given to her and also commended the foundation for the philanthropic act.
